San Francisco has a huge state university called the San Francisco State University (SF State) which is a public institution that was founded in 1899. The number of student is about 29,541 and the campus size is 142 acres (what ?!). The motto is "Experientia Docet" which means "Experience teaches" in English. About 1,500 international students from more than 100 countries study at the San Francisco State University. The university offer an exchange program for its students as well.
But what about the fees ? I quote : "Non-resident of California and International students must pay $372.00 per unit" and per semester. The units can vary from 1 to 6 and 6 or more depending upon your lessons and education level. Yes, knowing that in France the fees barely reach €500 per year, it's freaking expensive; but compared to a year in UPenn (the university of Pennsylvania) where a year costs $49,000, believe me, this is nothing !!
The university offers a really cool help for international students. There's this thing called the Office of International Program that helps foreign students to apply to SF State. Once a student is enrolled, OIF helps students to adjust life on campus and in the U.S; and with the multilingual staff members, it's really easy to communicate ! They provided everything !
There're plenty of activities to do on the campus. Whether you're interested in art, culture, sport or even if you want to you be a member of an association, everything is possible at SF State : concerts, exhibits, intercollegiate competitions, everything happens here.

The video was shot by Jordan Lalata, a young american video blogger on his first day of school at SF State. In the video you'll see some pretty cool things : the uni seems te be huge, well-maintained (which is not always the case in France. No, I'm not saying that my university needs a makeover ASAP... :-)) and look at the grass ! The greenest grass I've ever seen ! (Remember this Katy Perry song ? "Where the grass is really greener !" ? Sorry, proceed). Oh, and the fraternities and sororities ! Oh my god ! Trust me, you wish you could be there !
